Such a good ice cream spot I never seen a place with a great variety of flavors and even a cup made out of cone! Highly recommend it.

Best place for Ice Cream in town. Very popular with student and families with kids. With everyone. In a funky old house. Great house made ice cream and hot freshly made waffle cones. Always interesting flavors. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Needed some real ice cream after hiking in the national park and this hit the spot. We really appreciated the contactless operation as much as the flavor of the honey lavender (really rich and creamy) and strawberry (light and refreshing) scoops.

I had the cinnamon ice cream and it was really good! There are other unique flavors as well including a couple vegan options. I'm not local but I would go back again next time I'm in the area.

Fantastic local experience with delicious vanilla lavender ice cream and an enormous table swing.

They have very good flavors here and you can get a taste before you order. I couldn't decide between two orders so he gave me two smaller scoops of each flavor. Also recommend the house made waffle cone. The guy that served us we awesome. Once we got out scoops, we made our way to the giraffe swinging table.

The employees here worked very quickly, yet efficiently to ensure their customer's orders were accurate. Their various flavors always hit the spot, and make for a great ice cream run!

I love it for the original recipes homemade there in Arcata and for the nostalgia of the place. It reminds me of my grandmother's time, and every birthday I can't help but think what a nice little treat it would be to go to Arcata Scoop with loved ones. Their recipes are as dreamy as ever from when I first went to school there. It's an Arcata treasure.

Love this place, top notch small batch ice cream that will make you hate that grocery store ice cream in your fridge.. It's only problem is that it really never gets hot in arcata.. if this place was in Venice Beach, the line would be a mile long.

Pleasant atmosphere, cute decor & unique fresh flavors! I love their lavender & tea flavored ice creams. They offer unique flavor profiles with REAL ingredients. I would definitely recommend going here. This is a great spot for friends & families.

Possibly the best ice cream place ever! Lovely vibe and decor, amazing organic ice cream and unique wooden swing chairs for kids of all sizes. Fresh flowers, friendly service and smart opening hours until 10.30 pm. Wonderful.

People rave about this place. It was..... Good. Not amazing. But then again, I've been to some amazing ice cream parlors. I enjoyed my visit. The swingy thing was very cool. Some of the flavors were a little too inventive and didn't work. But I guess that's part of the process. The Earl Grey, for example, was sublime.

Probably one of the best things to try in Arcata. It isn't the creamiest ice cream you'll ever have, but it's good. You should try the swinging table while you're inside as well.

Wow this might be the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The honey vanilla lavender rivals that of Bi-rite’s honey lavender (my previous favorite). It was super creamy and even had pieces of lavender buds! Sold by the pint during covid for $8.50. Boyfriend and I finished it before reaching our airbnb in Eureka. So sad I live in southern cali and will probably never eat it again.

I love this local business. My only complaint is that there is only one dairy free option at a time. Nevertheless, all of the ice creams are tasty and they are often made with local fruit. The freshness is immediately obvious.Edit: They've begun having two dairy free flavors as the beginning of September.

I've been out of the area for the last 5 years and I definitely had to make time for my favorite ice cream shop. Let me tell you the coffee and Just vanilla ice cream was as delicious as I remembered. Looking forward to stopping in one more time before I head south.

I grew up in Arcata and I always loved going to the scoop. I remember sitting with my cousins and riding the bunny rabbit. (the bunny rabbit is a mini carousel ride) They have the best ice cream flavors you could imagine. My personal favorite has always been chocolate. I've also always love the girrafe swing.I also love that they have a mini ice cream shop for kids to play in. Definitely reccomend it!!!

A great local shop for all your homemade ice cream goodness. The shop is located in an old Victorian house. It has a quaint outdoor seating area and a wonderful sitting carousel inside. There is a lot of cutesy charm to support all the great flavors they share with the community. Thanks!
